I am breaking my computer-strike (kinda like the malays have broke their fast) to share with you the drama link-exam-esque thingy I found online. It's all the normal questions they'll ask accompanied with answers telling you what's desired. It's not ms. sim-approved so don't depend on it too much. I think it's underlying meaning is to be SUPER DUPER CLEAR in your descriptions for things like set, costume, etc.etc.
Anyway, print it if you like. There are references to Abigail's Party as well so I thought that would be useful to. Hopefully someone appreciates this ):

Hi everyone!

Pictures from today's rehearsals (..all the unglams anyway) are up on facebook! Don't hate me okay! I think I included all the pictures of me looking like some large and mutated hippo so you know..ENJOY! Anyway, for those who didn't come today you should check it out and see what you missed.

Monologue Exam: Monday (we'll be able to leave class at 12pm)

In reference to H1N1 i'm sure everyone's aware of the current situation. Please take care and be present on monday. Those who haven't even done your monologue you'll be expected to perform so..good luck to you! Rehearse during the last week of our break, y/y?
It's quite sad our holidays are coming to an end, right?

Okay, well, take care and don't die on me! (..too bad if you do die from swars) (that's swine flu+sars..future mutation. Singapore's apocalypse..am I right?!)

Hi.
I agree that a blackbox refurnishing and clean-up is due, but, do you really think this is the right time? We're in the midst of our Drama O level prep and rushing to finish up our monologue piece. Lest we forget our set text piece that's long over due. Speaking of which, Ms Sim emailed me saying why not we have a script ready to show her on the "urgent meeting" on the tuesday (23rd June 2009)...but I replied saying it wasn't fair because the library's closed and we have no means of getting a script..she hasn't replied yet. So, I'm not sure if we can sufficient time to do this? But anway..if you guys are willing to sacrifice time..let me introduce you to.

OPERATION BLACKBOX (can we please call it that? pretty please with shitty on top?)

Since it's the June holidays I was thinking....
Why not on Monday, one day before the Tuesday mtg with Ms Sim, we practice our monologues. I mean, really practice. No wasting time chit-chatting and what not. See, the problem was that we got carried away..and well..no one initiated the beginning of practice. We could spend maybe 11-12pm practicing and giving each other feedback. We could spend half 45 minutes practicing and rehearsing on our own with, of course, 5 minute breaks in between. With the remaining 15 mintues we could show each other our pieces and receive constructive cricitisms and work on our pieces. After 12pm, we can grab some lunch at IKEA (I propose we go to the one that's closer and near that giant COURTS...not super sure where it is though but i know it's closer to us that the one at Alexandra area).  Okay, we grab lunch at IKEA and then go shoppping. I suggest we do a list of what we need (like jessica said) in the morning at 11am.
After shopping for those items we can go back to school and place them there. It's going to be very tiring and i'm not sure if after placing the items in the blackbox you guys want to start with the clean-up.

I have some ideas:

1. You know the blackbox has these 2 black boxes with shelves near the lights area? I say we move them to the back and buy some good see-through shelve-like things from IKEA. We can use permanent marker to write the props/items in different sections and with the material being transparent it'd be easier to see what's inside different compartments.

2. We can divide different sections in that see-through-shelve-thing into things like, "PROPS - cups, knives, spoons, forks, plates", "PROPS - Photo frames, table cloths", "Clothes", etc.etc.

3. Can we speak to Ms Sim about talking to the school to move the extra computer and printer in the EOA to the blackbox. We have sufficient electrical plugs to accomodate but i'm not sure if we have enough space for the computer. We can make space during the clean up.

So, If we don't clean up on that day..we'll just never do it. I think we should clean up on that day and open up the new things we bought and place them in the blackbox. So, in a nut shell, you have to keep your whole of monday free. I'm not sure if everyone can do that..so..it'd be unfair to have 2 people doing all the work while the rest go home. Maybe we can do the whole clean-up and refurnising part on one day of the school day. We'll see.

I need your response on this so..please respond via sms or posting or whatever.

TODAY'S NEWS
...Ms Sim is planning to postpone our monologue exam, so for the boobs who haven't checked their emails, GO CHECK NOW. Run, don't walk.


SO...aside from the usual exam(there always seems to be an exam all the time, doesn't  there?) we've got other things on our plate

1. Cleaning the damn black box. Our beloved black box is in desperate need of a little Tender Loving Care, courtesy of us, The Seniors. Why would we do this, you ask incredulously?
a) It NEEDS to be cleaned and if we don't do it, no one else will. 
b) WE then get rights to rant about the sec 3s and 2s and (god forbid) 1s wrecking the place
c)(THIS IS IMPT) we earn some brownie points for drama elective. You guys know how ms sim is always saying that she needs to fight for drama elect and we draw a lot of attention to ourselves for being a subject and all, and how we're being watched and don't have a very good rep. Well this is our chance to show the damn bloody up-theres that we're doing something nice "for once".
d) We get CIP points :))
e) It will benefit us in the longrun, having a more efficient black box to perform in, without having to use broken cups and non-matching tea sets to act with.

2. Our drama elect hoodie!!!
I say we get this over and done with now that its the holidays and we're more and less free. I still vote hoodie.

3. The trip to Ikea to get drama stuff.
In conjunction with the cleaning up of the black box, we discussed some time back the possibility of refurnishing the black box with appropriate props and proper furniture (esp that ugly ass sofa) and ms sim gave us the go-ahead. So we have to get together one day to discuss what we're going to buy, what the budget is, and then actually go get the stuff. Suggestions include cutlery, glasses, photoframes, perhaps some fake-o thick books if we can find them.



ALSO, (was it?) shriveena and I who thought, one day, of putting a computer in the black box so we can type out our scripts and print them(using our own paper, of course) then and there and not waste time running all over the school. It doesn't need to be a spanking new PC, even one of the EOA room coms that NOBODY ever uses will do.



OK I GUESS THATS IT btw our last drama session had better not repeat itself because, you know.

1. Monologue (i do not even have one yet, i am very screwed)
